Artist Of The Week - Adam Stanton

Okay so after taking a week off from the blog I decided to come back with a great artist for Artist Of The Week! This weeks Artist Of The Week is Adam Stanton. He is a singer songwriter out of Canada and I first heard of him about two years ago. I found one of his cover videos on YouTube and have been a fan since. He did an acoustic cover of one of my favorite Jessie J. songs "Price Tag". I love when artists take songs and really make it their own and he did just that with this cover.

Adam's personality truly shines in his music and along with the covers that he does, he also does original music. His song "Summertime" is the first original song that Stanton has put a video out for and it's definitely one of his best. It's a great song that everyone can enjoy and I love blasting this song with my windows down on a warm day!

There's no denying that Stanton is a talented entertainer and that one day he will be dominating the charts with his music. I can't wait to see what is next for Adam and his music. I hope all of you take the time and check out the videos below along with links for Adam's music and social media sites.

Artist Of The Week - Dani Shay

Since last week's Artist of the Week was Joie The Advocate, I thought I would follow her up with another Be More Heroic campaign spokesperson and singer/songwriter, Dani Shay. Most of you probably remember her for her unforgettable performance on Americas Got Talent.

Others may have heard about her through the Glee Project Season 2.

I heard of Dani through Americas Got Talent and was instantly a fan. She's one of those singers that has this natural, raw talent to draw you in and make you listen. When she sings you can hear the honesty in not just her lyrics, but in her voice. The other thing I like about her is what she stands for. Like I said before she is also spokesperson for Be More Heroic. Be More Heroic is an anti bullying campaign that speaks at schools and various other venues about acceptance of others and yourself. Along with Be More Heroic, her music sends the same positive vibe of loving and accepting others along with yourself; which is a message not heard enough in our society. It's one I wish more artists and people in the media would put out as much as Dani and the rest of the Be More Heroic campaigners. I have to commend her and other like her for not conforming to what other would like her to be. Dani has always stay true to her self and her fans. I hope to see more from her in the future and maybe one day when she's touring she will come to Asheville, NC so I can see her live!
I hope you guys show Dani and Be More Heroic some love and support it's a great thing to be a part of. Enjoy the links and videos below. These are some of favorite videos that I thought I would share with my lovely readers! ~Christina Peace

I love 2pac and Changes is one of my favorite songs of all time. My entire family stopped what they were doing when I started playing Dani's cover of it. Maybe partly because I had the volume all the way up, but I think mostly because of her amazing voice!

Artist Of The Week - Joie - The Advocate

"I have nothing to prove to anyone. I want to share my gifts with the world, and I hope to entertain and relate to people from all different backgrounds and walks of life." –Joie

About a week ago I stumbled across this video
Her name is Joie and her message is powerful. She is a part of Be More Heroic an anti bullying campaign. She has been given the name 'The Advocate' for her dedication to the cause. She is a spokesperson for Be More Heroic and talks to schools about conflict resolution. It's not just about stopping the physical and verbal bullying from others, but improving your own personal image of yourself. It's a message that needs to put out there more. We live in a society where we are told we have to look, think or act a certain way. Joie and the others that are apart of Be More Heroic encourage the youth to be who they are and to love their self first. That's why I've chosen her as our Artist Of The Week. Aside from working with Be More Heroic she is a rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer and actress. Joie was also on Oxygen Network's The Glee Project. She made it to the Top 30 finalists where she was competing for a role on Glee. Since then she has put out a mixtape 'The Unmarked Mixtape'. The Glee project isn't the only thing she has done; she performed in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Annual Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington DC and Howard University Midnight Madness Event just to name a few. I like that she is speaking on something that she knows firsthand. She wasn't always accepted but, she's chosen not to conform and her message is being heard by many. Seeing a talented young entertainer like Joie makes what I do worth it. The message is one that I know will get heard by many more in the future. I could keep going but, I will just let the following videos speak for their selves! ~Christina Peace
